You Can Help Change the Lives
of Women, Children & Families in Need

With the arrival of COVID-19, we have found ourselves in an unprecedented and difficult time. While we wait in our homes for this pandemic to pass, attempt homeschooling, and try to wrap our heads around working remotely — we know that staying home is the best option right now. It is the only option.

But for many members in our community, the reality is that home may not be a safe place.

While the country has been on lockdown, victims have been forced to stay at home with their abusers with little hope of escape. Calls to the YWCA crisis line have DOUBLED in recent weeks, with some victims only able to text for help. This is a real issue in our very own backyard — and while we may not be able to cure COVID-19, we CAN do something to try to help victims of domestic violence.

YWCA Central Alabama is not closed to victims. We will continue to answer when they call, and we need your help to spread our mission.

Your support for Purse & Passion is more important than ever during this current crisis, because while the country may be shut down, YWCA Central Alabama is working overtime to help those who need it the most. We are so grateful for your help in spreading awareness and raising funds that are vital to furthering our work in the community.

Please take a moment to learn more about the YW and meet those we serve. Thank you for your support!
